We followed a link leading to the introduction to dictionary skills article. The author Tim Bowen created this article to help teachers discover different ways to integrate dictionary exploration in their curriculum.
This page design here changes to two column layout. 1. Article- The body of the article is displayed on the left hand side. 2. User ratings - Located immediately under the body of the article is the option for the users to rate the article. That option is represented by a star rating ( 1 poor- 5 excellent). Giving the readers the opportunity to share their opinion with minimal effort ( clicking of a star) is a good way to receive user feedback. 3. Registered user comments- The option to leave a comment to the article is located immediately under the sharing options, on the left hand side. However, that option is available only to registered users. As helpful as user ratings might be considered, they can skew the results significantly, virtually making the data useless. On the other hand, comments can provide valuable feedback that can be used to improve the article or site in general. |
